Unapproved Discount Codes
Loquax only shows a limited number of discount codes. These are all approved for our promotional use and are in accordance with the wishes of the retailers involved.

Not all codes published by a shop or retailer are intended for the public domain. For example Fred & Brenda's Electrical store may wish to offer their loyal customers a one time discount. The offer isn't meant to be published across the web, but inevitably it does end up on money saving and hot deal sites as well as voucher code and discount services!

Of course, the retailer should manage their discount strategy better (and in 2008 we fully expect a massive overhaul of how retailers use codes), but siteowners also need to act responsibly too. It is Loquax's opinion that if a code isn't meant to be promoted by us, then that code shouldn't be on our site.

Unfortunately other sites don't act with the same attitude, mainly as they can earn commission from utilising these codes. However, if a retailer feels their codes, brand and even income are being damaged, then eventually they will stop offering discounts or wanting to be associated with some sites.

As of April 2008 we have implemented a click to get the discount code policy. However, we are against forced clicks and will never show out of date codes - so you know that when you click through you will be given valid discount codes.

We feel by acting responsibly now, in the future we will be able to offer long term discounts and promotions.
